  • [..YouTube..] Apparently every single device in the world would be designed with a special "bar code" identifier. Notice the black design on the bottom of the "external HD". When the camera under the screen sees a special code, it identifies it and displays the appropriate information around the devices outline. Quite simple really, but it all depends on the object having the right codes. If these companies visions came true, all devices would need to have this code, or it wouldn't work.

  • [..YouTube..] As long as it doesn't really use NFC+Bluetooth/DLNA or something similar it's not interesting.Same with Microsoft Surface, nice idea. But how on earth will it interact with other devices?

  • [..YouTube..] Yeah this is merely reactivision... easy
  • [..Comment..] Yeah this is merely reactivision... easy
  • [..YouTube..] The speed at which the items display (the HD contents and the phone content) is proof of that, but some people are just so clueless sometimes.

  • [..Comment..] what is this shit, back to EGA colors?
  • [..YouTube..] what is this shit, back to EGA colors?
  • [..Comment..] Seriously, why would someone want to have a spinning info around a coffee cup saying "coffee" and the temperature of it?

  • [..YouTube..] OF COURSE it's a proof of concept! Who said that this is final?

  • [..YouTube..] did u happen to see the back of that hard-drive they had??? This works now its not a big real..the screen has sensors wwhoopy doo

  • [..YouTube..] HOT TEA is thinner than coffee which would weight close to what Hot water would be...coffee's weight is slighly more since it's consistancy is a lil thcker...were talking grams here...

  • [..YouTube..] @0:25 One can see they're cheating with fiducial markers. Not even rfid ones. Still proof of concept

  • [..YouTube..] your thinking too hard.. what about hot tea in a coffee mug (which it is normally served in)
  • [..Comment..] your thinking too hard.. what about hot tea in a coffee mug (which it is normally served in)
  • [..YouTube..] Naw, i think that whats displayed is just temperature. Maybe the table senses heat?
  • [..Comment..] Naw, i think that whats displayed is just temperature. Maybe the table senses heat?
  • [..Comment..] This is obviously a proof of concept, and is not actually a functioning model.Nonetheless they have some great guys working in R&D.

  • [..YouTube..] I want One scratch that I want one for every room in the House :) this looks sick!
  • [..YouTube..] Probably RFID chip in the mug, I doubt the table can actually tell if its coffee
  • [..YouTube..] Yup. Pretty alarming for some reason.
  • [..YouTube..] your not thinking hard enough...maybe its weight+temp+dimension of cup=enough info to know its coffee..it might just be temp and the coffee mug.
  • [..YouTube..] lol what wrong you dont believe in technology? This is real and working tech not a theory that you prolly base your life on.
  • [..YouTube..] nossa até café aquece
  • [..YouTube..] How could this possibly recognize that the bottom of a hot cup contains coffee? I call shenanigans.
  • [..YouTube..] cool!
  • [..YouTube..] It's all theoretical. And I don't know about you... I like to get away from my computer. I'm not going to buy a special electronic screen table thing for each room. Get real!
  • [..YouTube..] If it kills scanners, I'm for it.
  • [..YouTube..] this is pretty lame. Just look up reactivision, it's been out for years now. Open source, you need a webcam, and a projector. That's pretty much it.What a load of non-functioning not exactly innovation. Wonder how much the studio charged ASUS for this stuff? I see some scammage.Umm, how does it know how hot the coffee is?
  • [..YouTube..] Minority report....
  • [..YouTube..] ur head is buggy and needs reformat
  • [..YouTube..] can't be as bad as the bj your mother gives...
  • [..YouTube..] if it would be improved it wouldnt be so buggy like that
  • [..YouTube..] Men, that's neat and all, but they seriously need to change the design team for their gadgets and user interfaces.... =S
  • [..YouTube..] Please show me something better which you created. Yea... It's easy to complain. Let's see if you're still complaining when you're using this (prototype) descendant in the year 2016 to read the information of your anger-management pills on a table like this.
  • [..YouTube..] correction: it is a improved copy of the Microsoft table
  • [..YouTube..] how do you know it will malfunction?
  • [..YouTube..] well it cant be exactly the same, this looks a whole lot nicer than Microsoft's one , it can scan paper on the table and send it directly to your computer (no more scanners!) , you can actually interact items with the table than just a huge multi touch table, it doesn't matter if its a rip off , they did a very good job of improving it
  • [..YouTube..] Looks like crap. Bad/cheap Microsoft Surface rip-off if you ask me.Can do the exact same thing at home now. Got several milk glass desks overhere. Take a cheap beamer.. rfid tag scanner and make some 'futuristic' animation.Contrast is soooo bad.
  • [..YouTube..] This would make a great computer desk, especially for those who use the computer professional, for like art and such. Would allow the user to like sync hot keys, and other useful things.
  • [..YouTube..] Knowing ASUS, the table's hardware itself will be solidly designed; however, the software drivers for the table will cause it to malfunction horribly.ASUS needs to stick to hardware only and leave the software to the professionals.
  • [..YouTube..] ASUS should fire whoever decided to show this crap.go around showing it when it actually works.
  • [..YouTube..] It's a good thing. It means competition.
  • [..YouTube..] "microsoft surface", not table.
  • [..YouTube..] ? Everything alright with you?
  • [..YouTube..] Did you see the coffee?! That's incredible!
  • [..YouTube..] Now you know how it is being a Macfan ;)
  • [..YouTube..] I think we all know that :)
  • [..YouTube..] thats such a cheap copy of microsoft table!
  • [..YouTube..] Time of Eve
  • [..YouTube..] 10 minutes? Wow, you should call NASA!Looks pretty cool to me, although it does rely on your desk not being covered in other junk.
  • [..YouTube..] there is a camera under the table, and recognize the pattern under objects,so that's a concept demo instead of working one.
  • [..YouTube..] Yes! Finally! I always wanted to know how hot my coffee is. Too bad McD's didn't have one of these when they got sued for serving hot coffee.
  • [..YouTube..] Cool!
  • [..YouTube..] wow...that's a horrible future..i think i could have made that in about 10 minutes of hard work. come on guys, work a little harder
  • [..YouTube..] This is so cool
